Moving in America in order to work with true footwear Artisans, Yuketen was set up by Yuki Matsuda in 1995 to produce 1930's mountain men inspired Moccasin hunting boots. As we fast forward for A/W 2009, the vision of perfection for the feet still continues and Yuketen's traditional moccasin way of creating these shoes are still being applied (thanks to American hides, it doesn't just cover but also wraps your feet). The sole is made from real crepe, a 100% natural rubber from Brazil. Coming limited at Oi Polloi, Sports Hunt Peanut Suede and Grain Brown are now available.

If you happen to think of modern chain mail, then you probably passed by Asguer Juel Larsen. As for other designers thinking of modernity on their collection, Asguer's concept may not be too far from them but the medieval influence with the use alternative materials such as leather, PVC and rubber surely is being genius. Photographed by Ellis Scott, an array of of modern chain mails are being featured for his lookbook. Click here for Dazed Digital's interview with the designer.
