Comme des Garçons and Converse had a successful launch of their collaboration shoes in Japan, now they are opening their doors to a wider market. Coming in with four styles this time (two high-top, two oxford), the kicks will feature the infamous CdG Play heart logo. "The collaboration was born out of Rei Kawakubo’s affection for a particular Chuck Taylor All Star model from the Converse archives that was originally produced in the Fifties for the U.S. Army." After CdG, come this fall as Converse will be teaming up with (N)umber (N)ine and Italian fashion house Missoni. (Commes des Garçons Play for Converse sneakers will retail for $100.)
