1205 Autumn/Winter 2010 Collection

May 6, 2010 |

It's a confusion at first but I loved the fact that 1205 designer Paula Gerbase have dressed up a female model to properly showcase the unisex pieces of her Autumn/Winter 2010 collection. With a contemporary ideology to the ever benchmarked menswear constructions, Gerbase successfully juxtaposed contrasting fabrics to several pieces including knitted suit and jersey peacoat. Uplifting 1205 aesthetic, there goes the exact cutting, attention to detail and subtle use of fabric with tonal textures, checks and stripes properly glowed with monochrome palettes - grey, navy and white.

With the AW10 look book I took the decision to shoot it on a female model only because so many have questioned the idea of the unisex pieces. I felt the need to challenge these dated perceptions. I like the idea that people might be confused at first, it means they are thinking about it. I wanted to surprise, and hopefully make them that bit more open to new ideas.
