Fiongal Greenlaw’s debut back in 2010 have let him presented his first menswear collection named The Pop Society. It was, as stated, “dandyish”, and a good introductory execution I must say. Aside from designing, he is also known for his “effortlessly cool and individual” surrealist illustrations. Updating us with a new collection for Spring/Summer 2011, the London-based designer pays attention to tailoring and detailing through the interpretation of a much more playful yet sophisticated menswear assortment. Opposite to the British-influenced debut collection, Fringe Frater Spring/Summer 2011 has the elements of a youthful “all-American” preppy aesthetic, a combination of slim-line, casual shapes, and fabrics of a clean-cut Ivy League look with the contrasting matured boxy, draped silhouettes of Italian suiting that were based from the late 80s - early 90s.
