Kris Van Assche for Eastpak Lookbook

Eastpak’s high end tie up with noted designers continues to take place, this time they’re doing it with Kris Van Assche. Presenting 7 designs available in three combinations of fabrics and colors, the bags are made from parachute cloth, leather, and rough cotton, each coming with a metal key ring that’s made out of two interlocking pieces representing the name of the tied up brands. The bags are highly influenced from the designer’s latest collection for men, bringing forth a collection that comes with a sportswear aesthetic, classic elegance and military details while KVA’s trademark of high urban spirit mixed with cool elegance are felt throughout the line. The Eastpak by Kris Van Assche line will be available from June 2011 at select Kris Van Assche and Eastpak retailers. Price ranges from 50-250 Euros.

EASTPAK x Christopher Shannon Backpacks

It's been a while since I have featured backpacks here, like it was from the last season I think. But thank you Oki-Ni, you have again brought my attention to the ever useful bag. From the collaborative EASTPAK and Christopher Shannon efforts, I have with you here three bags that are undeniably beautiful. A limited edition range of EASTPAK silhouettes in a customized Christopher Shannon colourway, the bags go with special hardware and unique embossed branding. Rick Owens DRKSHDW x Eastpak F/W 2009 Bags

Rick Owens DRKSHDW and Eastpak teamed up in creating wonderful set of unique and innovative pieces all in one collection. Producing wonderful monochromatic pieces, these bags came in duffel, backpack, case, sleeve and wrist style. Skipping the traditional sewn stitchings, the collaboration has a distinct streamline look coming from the use of revolutionary welding technique. Just in case you're looking for a polished version, this isn't for you since all items have been stone washed giving a natural worn-in texture.
