Oki-Ni went to Newcastle to photograph Nigel Cabourn's personal collection of vintage garments in an effort to be added on their wonderful designer archive list.
For our seventh archive (this time with a slight twist), oki-ni travelled to Newcastle to meet designer Nigel Cabourn and photograph the impressive vintage archive that inspires his eponymous label.
Housed in a workshop at the bottom of his garden, Cabourn's exhaustive collection of vintage garments includes amazing protoypes of military clothing worn by pilots, tank drivers and marines (and so much more). We think the history behind these pieces is incredible – this is perhaps our strongest archive feature yet.
