Coachella kicked off festival season, once again, securing the best musical talent the world has to offer for its April line up. ASOS was there and caught up with some of the online retailer’s favorite acts like CSS, Chromeo and The Drums who candidly spoke about their style inspirations through a series of vignettes filmed exclusively for the online retailer.

ASOS Autumn/Winter 2010 Campaign by Todd Selby

Featuring its first advertising campaign, ASOS collaborated with notable portrait, interiors, and fashion photographer and illustrator, Todd Selby, to make it possible this season. Taking inspiration from Todd’s own project, The Selby, the campaign features individuals photographed in their own personal spaces as the campaign is dubbed as ‘Model’s Own’.

ASOS "Best of British" Fall/Winter 2010 Collection

The third installment of ASOS’ Best of British collaboration series have officially erupted late last month but here’s what in store if you haven’t heard it yet, assuming yes. Featuring homegrown beloved labels, this collaborative effort have produced interesting range of coats, knitted jumpers, polo shirts, digitally printed t-shirts, track bottoms and shoes. Lookout for exclusive pieces from Paul Smith, Peter McKee, Fred Perry, Lavenham, Cambridge Satchel Company, Peter Jensen, David David, Tim Soar, Katie Eary, James Long, and Henry Holland at ASOS.

[Vimeo Corner] ASOS Black

Featuring minimal and monochromatic pieces, ASOS drops its ASOS Black menswear and accessories range for Autumn/Winter 2010. The collection consists of outerwear, knitwear, tees, tanks and a small selection of footwear, jewelry and accessories all punctuated with modern rock 'n' roll approach.

To celebrate the launch, ASOS.com has commissioned a short film by CAD award-winning director Paul Gore featuring model Ross Crawford. Known for his work with Massive Attack, Moloko, Paolo Nutini and DJ Shadow, you can check out the video, featuring model Ross Crawford, after the click.

ASOS Fall/Winter 2010 Lookbook

ASOS features its Fall/Winter 2010 lookbook with three different trends to look forward: Nomad, Smart and Rebel. "Autumn Winter 10 and ASOS.com reveals a menswear collection consolidating masculine dressing with two very different trends. NOMAD and REBEL traverse the boundaries between 50s styling and the great outdoors whilst SMART takes traditional tailoring and adds homespun charm through a mixture of fabrications and textures. Definitely impressed with the three variations, the trend that I love the most would be the Smart selection. The array of finely tailored garments with slim silhouettes have really gotten me to check out every looks they got. I love the sleekness of the pants and the contrast of roll neck that makes the suit jacket a perfect equalizer. Check out the looks below.

Coming in classic design, this holdall from Fred Perry Laurel looks polished and clean. With contrast details on trims, zip-top and front pocket, i like how they put in every details deriving different perspective, may be sporty or punk-ish. With twin grab handles and embossed logo detail, the whole approach is a perfect way to preserve heritage style, make it contemporary.

I was delighted to see variations on the new stocks of ASOS noticing that they took consideration on putting hi-top trainers. With brands including Schmoove, Reebok, and G-Star, every shoes representing specific label are unique in style and details bringing different mood and aura.

Henrik Vibskov: Cardigans With A Twist

Going beyond the usual seems to be too much, but these cardigans from Henrik Vibskov definitely needs some attention. Displaying some modern rendition of tribal prints and flamboyant details, the multiprinted color with blue domination has the 80's style graphics. Not really striking though but definitely a one of a kind. Red & mustard striped cardigan, on the other hand, is appealing thanks to the knitted tie belt and the contrasting mix of colors.

Henrik Vibskov's playful patterns seen in tanks and tee definitely showed a modern rendition of tribal prints. Also, the bomber jacket in red, purple and grey was my favorite among the other items since it has an unusual color combination reminds me of the MGMT inspired Gucci colors. New Items at ASOS: Shipley & Halmos

ASOS has a lot of things to offer lately and it's really hooking me up. After browsing some of their shoes/accessories, the clothes section definitely has something good to offer. Items from Shipley & Halmos captured the executive lifestyle in fun and surprising manner. The raincoat looked executive in black and risky in yellow. The pleated shorts looked crisp and formal but if paired with contrasting details definitely it will have a new character.
