Oki-Ni: New Faces Of Menswear

The premiere online store for men's fashion and lifestyle, Oki-Ni, have chosen 8 New Faces of Menswear having some exclusive interviews with the new and outstanding designers that will surely take men's fashion by storm. Interviewed by Oki-Ni's creative director John Skelton and photographed by their in house photographer Ben Benoliel, "it" designers Martine Rose, Christopher Shannon, Satyenkumar, Odeur, Lou Dalton, Kling by Kling, Mr.Hare and Hederus are featured with their collections being offered over the online store. "We've bought these brands because we believe in what they're offering. Their collections stand up to those produced by more established designers but at the present time we feel no one in the industry is giving them the platform they deserve to showcase their talent. We are hoping that this feature and the issues continuously raised in the series of interviews will create more awareness (and ultimately support) towards the challenges that all new menswear designers are facing."

New Items at Oki-Ni: Hederus, Nom De Guerre & Fred Perry

At Oki-Ni, good items are pouring in and these new additions will surely capture that essence of being stylish in a different approach. Take for example Hederus, the new additions including the parka (upper left) surely is an exciting piece along with some loose and airy pieces from the new items. With pre-orders showing pieces for the upcoming F/W 2009 collections, the "uniform for survival" motif of Nom de Guerre (upper right) had various knitwear fabrics while the contemporary and cutting edge approach of Fred Perry (below) has an interesting use of new fabrics.

Hederus at Oki-Ni

With Hederus making a debut at Oki-Ni, this futuristic and conceptual menswear label surely knows how to create absolutely unique and stunning items. Focusing on the caps and helmet that i've seen at the online shop, the design surely has the avant garde approach which we really don't see on headgears at all.
