Rick Owens Motorcycle Woven Jacket

It's not leather but the style's taken from the motorcycle jacket. A great piece from Rick Owens’ Fall/Winter 2010 offerings, the use of cotton sounds practical but the price isn’t really that corresponding. The arm sleeves are slimmer and I prefer the jacket to be unzipped as it gives emphasis to the silver metal ware and the fact that it would look like a “motorcycle jacket”. Available at Aloha Rag.

Rick Owens Platform Wedge Boots

Yup, it's men's boots, but they call it the platform wedge boot. From Rick Owens' A/W 2010 Gleam collection, it's unusual for us to actually see this type of footwear with much elevated heels for men. For SS10 Rick Owens pays tribute to the unmistakable style of the American tourist - with a gothic twist. ‘I heard myself in an interview being very critical about American tourists, so I wanted to make up for it by paying tribute to them,’ Owens said. Dark denim is layered over long line jersey t-shirts, detailed with transparent panels. Trousers are cropped to show off this season’s offering of gothy boots and oversized hi tops.
