Oki-Ni: Beth Vincent Interviews Margo Selby

Oki-Ni's very own Beth Vincent and photographer Ben Benoliel went up to visit award winning craftswoman Margo Selby in her Bloomsbury studio. With topics leading them to wonderful conversation, this interview got them talking about her renowned textile designs, weaving discipline, and her collaboration with London label The Old Curiosity Shop which you can actually avail here.

I guess what translates into your fashion and interiors collaborations is a real respect for the craftsmanship involved in the processes of your work. Is there someone you have in mind when you design?
I think there are lots of different people who appreciate what I do, but yes there’s definitely a connection between people who appreciate craft and also people who have a love of colour and who want to stand out and the people who are drawn to what I do.
