Coinciding its 35th anniversary in the industry, Penfield debuts two shirts in partnership with fine American shirt-makers Gitman Bros. for the Fall/Winter 2010 seasons. The collaboration marks the first time for these two heritage brands to team up, not just resulting to an interesting rapport but also paying homage to the fine tradition of American shirting.

Consisting of the Woburn, a 100% cotton blue Oxford shirt, and the Flitton, a rose flannel style, the collaboration meshes Penfield’s traditional durability and practicality with the master construction and fine materials for which Gitman Bros. is known. Classic Americana references are used throughout, from the traditional chalk buttons that reference Gitman Bros. shirts from the late 1970’s to the Flitton flannel pulled directly from Gitman’s Winter 1982 collection. Both styles feature an 8-button front closure with a contrast split plaquette and a left chest pocket. The shirts are garment washed for a superior feel and fit.

The Woburn will retail for £110, while the Flitton shirt will be sold for £118. Available now at Penfield.
