The menswear shows in Milan have officially started and to start my coverage of it, I’ll begin with the Fall 2011 collection of Burberry. Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey presented a collection that’s loaded with outerwear, specifically oversize coats with sculptural silhouettes. Establishing a show that presents the “Weather Boys” rendition of Burberry, it started with an impressive display of colorful checked and tailored coats. The show progressed with the arrival of the iconic pieces that were modernly interpreted. Included from it were several styles of duffle wear and tailored double-breasted coats that were seen with fur detailing and quilt finish. The finale of the show saw the models wearing transparent raincoats on the rainy catwalk.
Some looks from the Burberry Prorsum Fall 2011 Collection after the click.
