Presenting a progressive collection featuring the brand’s popular staple graphics, contemporary shapes and refreshed designs, rising label Star in the Hood have widened the streetwear horizon with their latest Spring/Summer 2011 line. The SS11 “From Nothing to Something” campaign was shot in and around Shoreditch earlier this spring and features a diverse mix of UK creative and personalities setting the tone for the collection. Maria Falbo, pro skateboarder, stars in the print and viral campaign alongside Emily Deyn, sister of Agnes, and UK artist Jodie Connor joins her previous collaborator Tinchy Stryder as the a new-look SITH collective. The first in the series of ‘From Nothing to Something’ video pieces were also shot in London during March 2011 by Sam Wrench. The music for the four videos has kindly been provided by DJ Distance, DJ Shadow, Tricky and Tinashe.
