100 Years of Fila: Introducing the Fila Club Collection for Spring/Summer 2011

Celebrating this year its 100th anniversary, Fila’s success in this industry started their way from being a premium manufacturer of knitwear in the Italian town of Biella. Expanding their range to sportswear that was launched back in 1973, the Italian label has grown to a stylish, well known and quality purveyor of iconic sportswear.

For their Club collection for Spring/Summer 2011, the brand took inspiration from Monte Carlo’s infamous playboy era of the 1970s. This premium collection results to a lifestyle collection that brings forth timeless, sophisticated and laid back styling fused with modern method of tailoring and luxury materials.

Vimeo Corner: FILA Presents MAKE NO!SE

MAKE NO!SE, produced by Art vs. Commerce, is a lifestyle multimedia series that highlights (via highly stylized photography and video) local creatives, such as artists, musicians, DJs, that are making noise within their respective crafts/industries. Combined, these candid shots (photography by Chris Carr) and video (video by Opiyo Okeyo) will tell two stories:

1.) How this person is building their brand
2.) The steps they take to create a branded project

As supported by FILA, the second edition of MAKE NO!SE highlights Philadelphia’s own premier barber and violinist, Dannon Cook, along with FILA’s 2010 Heritage Collection.

Fila Autumn/Winter 2010 Vintage Collection

Italian lifestyle and sportswear brand Fila presents its Autumn/Winter 2010 collection featuring the revamped Vintage range for this seasons’ cold madness. The collection is an update of archival references which include impressive nostalgic lineup of track tops, polo shirts and whole lot of these season’s must haves all of which finished with the iconic F-box logo. Said to be the “pinnacle” of the range is the limited edition Settanta Collection which arrives in a three-stage release of Fila’s well known designs – the Settanta Mark I, II and III.

A quick note for the Spring 2011 collection, Fila will have its centennial celebration which will offer killer collaborative pieces done with the brand's most famous athletes. Look out for it soon.
