Kanye West on VMAN

February 9, 2011 |

Kanye-West-on-VMAN
Here are the best words to generally sum up things about this cover, and my dear music idol Kanye. “In Kanye’s only magazine cover shoot of the season, he shows that he’s finally done talking and wants his art to speak for itself. He has literally put his money where his mouth is, and in tandem, VMAN has issued a promotion where one in ten covers contain REAL dollar bills. It’s the ‘thrill of the game’ – and who better to illustrate this than one of the most controversial music and fashion icons of our generation.” VMAN’s “No Risk, No Reward” issue, with Kanye West photographed exclusively by Karl Lagerfeld, is now available on newsstands.

VMAN.com debuts an exclusive video of Soulland chronicling the unique manufacturing process the Adler Fedora hats go through at the old Danish hat-making studio in Scandinavia.

Here at VMAN we have been championing Danish street-inspired fashion line Soulland for months now, with particular attention being paid to the modern take on the fedora that designer Silas Adler has pioneered.

Coinciding the debut, VMAN will be giving away 2 navy fedoras. Click here for instructions.

A goodie preview of VMAN's upcoming issue, the Swede and Vicious spread would be another thing to look forward. Just a quick fact, Sweden is the world's third largest exporter of music, no wonder they could be seen everywhere, in indie genre for me. But anyway, I got the excitement after knowing Peter Bjorn and John and The Hives' Pelle Almqvist would be part of the editorials. It's like a blissful feeling seeing your favorite artists on a fashion mag.
