The editorial side of oki-ni is back, this time, super-stylist Andrew Davis presents his cool and bold take of the Spring/Summer 2011 menswear pieces. Dealing with bold colors and playful prints, the looks he pulled off impressively combines both tailoring and sportswear. Davis, who is known for his works on iconic magazine The Face and contributions for LOVE, Interview, L’Uomo Vogue, and HERO, is currently styling for Japanese publication HUGE.

Ninh Nguyen Fall 2011 Preview

Here’s an editorial featuring a sneak peek of what’s in store for Ninh Nguyen’s Autumn/Winter 2011/2012 collection which will be displayed during New York Fashion Week. Considered as an advanced presentation of showing editorials and ad campaigns that are contrasting to the traditional way, the collection features a sleek and rough collection that is composed of several double breast jackets paired with all similar black trousers and inner tailored shirts. Shot by Duc Nguyen with models roaming the streets of Manhattan, some imagery can be seen after the click.

Here's a story shot by Bruna Kazinoti and styled by John Colver for the current issue of Hero Magazine featuring Lewis from FM and Andreas from M&P. VMAN Issue #20: Tokyo Tribe

The latest issue of VMAN magazine features this interesting fashion story by Koichiro Doi named the “Tokyo Tribe”. Seen on a 6 page spread, the Japanese models are donning thick and layered clothing resulting to a tribal-like motif. “We still dream of undiscovered corners of the world. Here, we create a spring fantasy of chic ancestry – a time-capsule for tribes of future centuries.”

studiohomme: Wanted

Here's my monthly update to the new looks featured at the editorial corner at studiohomme. This November sees a smarter appeal with the essence of streetwear that is consist of the in house branded pieces. Shot in a black and white approach, Franck Mura does the photography and the stylish French team dresses and sums up the look of the model.

Another teaser for what’s in store on the new issue of VMAN magazine, we have here a look of the Profiles section. Shot by different photographers which includes Terry Richardson, Mark Abrahams, Nagi Sakai, and Paul Maffi, the featured stories revolves around Hollywood actor Sebastian Stan, New York Knicks’ Danilo Gallinari, Middle Eastern retail scion Wissam Al Mana, number one ranked Norwegian chess champion Magnus Carlsen, and Japanese speed eater Takeru Kobayashi. The 20th issue will hit newsstands starting November 11th and on vman.com.

The upcoming 20th issue of VMAN Magazine features today’s hardest working men in the hip hop industry which includes Kid Cudi, Big Boi, Fabolous, Jay Sean, Ne-Yo, and J. Cole. Seen on a four-page spread shot by Cameron Krone and styled by James Worthington-Demolet, the cool boys were much-admired for their effortless style and greatness by the coveted magazine. The Winter Issue will be available on November 4 in Europe and on the 11th in US and vman.com.

studiohomme: Gimme Shelter

This month's photo series from studiohomme is inspired by The Rolling Stones' "Gimme Shelter". In Summary, the couple spends a love time in a cocoon space and protects each other from the aggressiveness of the world. On the images shot by Franck Mura, you'll be seeing underwear, cotton shirts and several knitted garments taken from the brands that are available at the online store.

Another preview of what's in store for the new issue of VMAN Magazine, this time it's a "Boys to Men" spread taken by Willy Vanderperre and styled by Olivier Rizzo. Models Kelly Rippy and Clement Chabernaud sets a guiding principle that "classic black makes a statement at any age" and it's in monochrome quality.

studiohomme: Casa Nova

The September photo series of studiohomme features this "Casa Nova" concept with pieces provided by brands such as Melinda Gloss, Adam Kimmel, and Acne, just to name a few. Inspired by two senses, the series is based on both the typical Parisian apartment and the young romantic Thibault Veller shot by Franck Mura and groomed by Jérôme Caron.

Financial NY getups await us to this new spread of VMAN from its 19th issue. Donning Fall's sharpest looks inspired by the "Financial Cowboys of the 1980's", legendary photog Josh Olins captures the Wall Street spread along with top models T.R. Pescod, Eric Watts, Sarah Dumond and AJ Abualrub, all styled by Jay Massacret. VMAN Issue 19 hits newsstands 9/9.

Celebrating NY as the city of dreams, V Magazine's upcoming "New York Issue" features this interesting spread of notable New York designers which include Ralph Lauren, Diane von Furstenberg, Francisco Costa of Calvin Klein, Alexander Wang, Joseph Altuzarra and Proenza Schouler's Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough. Sharing their aspiration and accomplishments, these "7 designers reflect on growing up, thinking big, living large, and realizing their fashion dreams against New York's glittering skyline".


V67 does not hit newsstands until September 2nd.

Far from her role of being the love interest of todays infamous vampire, Kristen Stewart takes another route of her career tapping a more difficult role which includes the famed rocker Joan Jett. Bringing the essential The Runaways vibe, Flaunt Magazine in cooperation with Bebe, presents the 109th issue with Stewart on the cover shot by Yu Tsai. Much better if they included Dakota Fanning on the shoot. Whatcha say?
