Natalia-Brilli-Leather-Accessories
For a tribal effect, I like a tooth pendant on my necklace. You know, it makes things very bohemian or effortless for some instances. Let’s leave the words to Por Vocacao. “Natalia Brilli brings these real shark teeth as part of the new accessories for SS11. Featured as leather necklaces and bracelets, raw or leather covered they are available in three colors beige, grey or black. You can always say you’ve taken them off the shark’s mouth, barehanded, while fighting for your life…” Get them here.

Alex & Chloe Tribal Necklaces

January 21, 2010 |

I am not a big fan nor hater of tribal accessories but I could work on my deep appreciation on it... and this might be the first phase of that development. From Alex & Chloe's great selection of accessories, I spotted these two lovely necklaces both featuring same concept - the tribal of course. Boasting with minimal appeal, the triangle pendant is acrylic while the ring pendant is brass both hanging on antique brass chain. Now available at Kabiri

Jerrod Cornish and Keith Richardson of Corpus expands their line (byCORPUS) for Urban Outfitters with the inclusion of their unisex astrological sign necklaces. "We chose to design Zodiac Pendants because of their unisex quality & their symbolism," says Cornish. "With this in mind, we decided to keep the aesthetic clean & simple. They are meant to ultimately compliment the wearer and his or her personality." The twelve-piece collection of Zodiac Necklaces will be available this December at Urban Outfitters store and urbanoutfitters.com.

Florian Rope Jewelry at Oki-Ni

November 21, 2009 |

The designs are unique and you wouldn't think the maker was serious about this. Austrian designer Florian Lastaetter had his jewelries aiming to "set its wearer free from the bonds of banality, to explore new dimensions of fantasy, imagination and physicality" and it's actually obvious on his offerings. Setting his own way of creating designs, the necklaces aren't the usual silver chains or beaded ones, but it is entire dedicated to ropes. Inspired from Monte Carlo shore side adventures, "red bevelled beads and silver link necklaces and bracelets are in blood red and diesel black, knotted, woven and intertwined like a complicated sailor’s knot".

Now available at Oki-Ni.

Acne Spring 2010 Collection

July 1, 2009 |

It has always been delighting to see Acne's different concept each season. For their Spring/Summer 2010 collection, it was a composition of different varieties complementing the summer vibe. There goes the humble colors paired with vibrant yellow, blue and pink. The scarves & necklaces added that tribal feel to the minimalistic designs. It was also a display of both slim & loose silhouettes on pants adding that casual feel to the whole collection. Suits & cropped jackets were impressive, trench coats looked refreshing as well as the lightweight fabrics of shirts.

Chris Habana Snap Necklace

June 11, 2009 |

Oak has been loaded with some cool stuff and this has got to be "it". Showing some word on it, this cutout “snap” pendant on a 30” bead chain by Chris Habana reminds me of the Henry Holland statement shirts but definitely no rhyming on it. With lobster clasp, this necklace shouldn't be forgotten or else you would be saying "Oh SNAP!".
