Worn By A/W 2010 Collection

April 16, 2010 |

A refreshing mix of music and fashion, British label Worn By has been greatly attached with their dedication over garments recreation once worn by icons of the past, particularly rock stars. Sourcing out photography from the world of music, film, and sport, the timeless appeal is a top priority for the brand. As for their Autumn/Winter 2010 collection, Worn By celebrates 70's music history with iconic individuals rocking out the year.

A/W 2010 sees the 40th Anniversary of 1970, surely one of the most legendary years in musical history! Worn By is celebrating by offering a collection full of classic tees worn by the people who made it so iconic.

We are paying our respects to the rock ‘n’ roll excess of the musical legends who all infamously died aged 27, including Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin who both died in 1970. This ‘27 Club’ story also features Brian Jones, Jim Morrison, and of course the grunge hero, Kurt Cobain’s most recognisable graphic tees such as Hi How Are You?, Corporate Magazines Still Suck and Grunge is Dead.

Back to the summer of 1970 and David Fairbrother Roe, designer of the original 60’s and 70’s Isle Of Wight posters, has opened his archive to us to bring you his psychodelic designs as digital prints on super-soft vintage-washed tees to relive the biggest live music festival in history!

To mix things up a bit we have added an explosive punk battle between the UK and US with The Clash vs The Ramones collection, and a Classic Rock Collection of musical heroes including Motorhead’s Lemmy, John Lennon and Joe Cocker.

By focusing on the detailing including slub fabrics, reverse discharge prints, and contrast stitching, plus the launch of two brand new silhouettes - a slouch fit, wide neck tee with turn-ups at the sleeve, and a vneck shape this collection is a true mix of modern style and trusted classic rock t-shirts.

Worn By makes really cool shirts. I've heard of them a few times. Do you know if there's a way to get the shirts in the US?

@ERIC: I'm not pretty sure regarding stockists in US but try visiting their website (http://www.wornby.co.uk/) there you might order a piece and make it on your way where you're located. :)
