Lavenham presents their forthcoming collection for Autumn/Winter 2011 that sees them pushing the boundaries of the traditional quilted outdoor wear by pouring in a good amount of youthful sensibility. "For this collection Lavenham have delved deep into their 40 year old archive to bring a collection inspired by traditional stable workers and of course all things equestrian. Materials used this time around expand into the finest and more refined materials that Britain has to offer with British wools; British Millerain wax and high performance yarn dyed woven polyester."

ASOS "Best of British" Fall/Winter 2010 Collection

The third installment of ASOS’ Best of British collaboration series have officially erupted late last month but here’s what in store if you haven’t heard it yet, assuming yes. Featuring homegrown beloved labels, this collaborative effort have produced interesting range of coats, knitted jumpers, polo shirts, digitally printed t-shirts, track bottoms and shoes. Norse Projects x Lavenham Jackets

Norse Projects’ Danish design aesthetic infuses into the Lavenham jackets as part of their collaborative team up in producing 4 select items. “Norse continue their onslaught of collaborations by this time coming together with the true originators of the quilted jacket, Lavenham Jackets. Here we see the ever popular silhouette of the Lavenham Jacket with Scandinavian influenced colour ways with simple, functional natures and twists added to the jackets and vest as well as some subtle trim and pocketing details giving each garment that Norse stamp of approval.” The jackets will be available early next month direct from Norse Projects.

Lavenham Autumn/Winter 2010 Collection

Since 1969, Lavenham have been producing some of the most superior quality country clothing in Britain. Proudly sporting the title as the producers of the very first nylon quilted jackets, the last forty years has seen them forge a reputation among connoisseurs of rural respectability and fashion forward fans alike as producers of top notch quality and durability.

In Japan, where since 1993 Lavenham have been the dominant force among an array of highly sort-after British brands, they have long since been the quilted jacket brand.

The Autumn-Winter collection sees an expansion in use of cut and shape, as well as select fabrics. Their traditional Denham Flax comes in a British Millerain waxed cotton, as well as a Black Watch-Tartan, while the three-quarter length Denston Mini Gun Club check is a stand out piece among the wool options on offer.

Making a departure from Spring Summers use of contrasting and vibrant colors, this collections palette is firmly rooted in the traditional comfort of Autumnal New England Navy Harvards, forest green corduroy collars and charcoal wool gilets.
