Street Etiquette: Sewn from the Soul

Our friends over Street Etiquette pulled off a great editorial entitled "Sewn from the Soul". Honoring Black History Month and paying homage to noted African American individuals, the editorial is a result of Joshua Kissi, Travis Gumbs, and their 5 other good friends' collaborative efforts combining interest in style and history mixed with their fashionable senses. Assisting Black History Month theme, a monochromatic palette is primarily used seen on individual style contributions over the editorial. Really beautiful. Check it here.

Genesis of Style - Teaser Video

Our friends over Street Etiquette showed us an upcoming treat for (early) 2010 with a preview and snapshots of their latest project with Tone named "Genesis of Style".

Genesis – ’a coming into being’ or ‘the beginning of’ and when you think of it in relation to style – ’a way of expressing something that is characteristic of a particular group or period of time’. This “genesis”, so to speak, is not about convincing different individuals to dress similar to us; from the video you can see the variation in style from person to person, but more about a revival of awareness of personal style. This multi-borough video project, starting out in the Bronx, should change the face of Street Etiquette and everyone involved.
