Denham Service Co. Opening

April 20, 2011 |

Denham-Service-Co.-Opening
The good team of Denham has recently opened an in-house service center as spearheaded by Jason “the Jeanmaker” himself. The new space that’s directly adjacent to the Denham Store at 495 Prinsengracht in Amsterdam offers a range of denim services that includes hand wash, chain stitch hem, knee repair, alternation, custom label and custom metal services. The bespoke denim service center also houses the Virgin denim collection of unwashed Japanese denim jean models as a symbolization of the beginning of the journey of Denham’s shopper to the pleasure of sliding into a pristine pair, then becomes a uniquely worn-in piece.

Denham Cutter+ and Grade Slim Silhouettes

January 11, 2011 |

Denham Cutter+ Jeans
Denham features two new jeans that come with slimmer silhouettes. First is the Cutter+, an even more detailed version of the key fit Cutter. It’s a slim fit 5 pocket jeans with narrow leg/hems and room around the seat/crotch. It comes with an innovative yoke construction that visually drops the posture of the front waistline while retaining a standard wearable rise measurement. The Cutter+ has signature details such as the 7 point back pockets, darted hems, and tailored boxed button holes. Another is the Grade Slim, an extension of the classic OTAKU 5 pocketed jean, Grade. The original specification has been adapted in order to carrot fit the jean from the knee to the bottom hem.

Denham Autumn/Winter 2010 Medic Union Donkey Jacket

November 4, 2010 |

Presenting a modernist version on this Fall/Winter piece, Denham pays a strict and devoted homage to the silhouette and fabrics of the classic Medic’s Coat. “Medic Union is the 3rd iteration of the classic men’s sportcoat, following-on from the original Medic (based on a WW2 P.O.W. Medic’s coat) through spring’s Medic Intel and now manifested as the Medic Union. The suffix “union” comes from the classic labourer’s Donkey Jacket which formed the primary inspiration for the new version.”

Denham the Jeanmaker London Store Opening

October 21, 2010 |

October 14 marked the opening of Denham’s new flagship store in London with 400 guests flocking at Charlotte Road which includes eminent faces and folks. Reanimating a history-drenched four story warehouse to a hub for Denham in the UK, the building houses full retail store presenting the label’s collection for men and women and also featuring on-site denim repair and alteration services.

Said to be a representation of Jason Denham’s homecoming in the UK, the opening in London, as succeeded by the established Amsterdam and Tokyo stores, is a reconnection of Denham to British tailoring heritage which exerts a steady influence on the brand’s signature approach to detail. Located at the well-known frenetic Shoreditch neighborhood, the creative community which includes design agencies, art galleries and indie shops replicates the old architectures and contemporary energy same as the ones found at the original Amsterdam address.
