Denham Cutter+ and Grade Slim Silhouettes

January 11, 2011 |

Denham Cutter+ Jeans
Denham features two new jeans that come with slimmer silhouettes. First is the Cutter+, an even more detailed version of the key fit Cutter. It’s a slim fit 5 pocket jeans with narrow leg/hems and room around the seat/crotch. Mishka Boris Skinny Jeans

December 30, 2010 |

As for me, my personal rule is to wear a skinny jean that is bigger of 2 inches in waist. I don’t go with the waist size since it makes it very tight for my “chicken” legs and the crumple effect of looser skinny jeans gives a wonderful effect. Check the Mishka Boris Skinny Jeans at Karmaloop.

Grey denim and cotton mix worker jeans, with two front pockets and two button down front compartments. These jeans fasten with a single black button and a heavy duty black zipper. Both rear pockets fasten with black branded buttons and the right pocket has a small orange nonnative detail tab. The thick belt loops are another key detail. Now available at LN-CC.

Denham the Jeanmaker London Store Opening

October 21, 2010 |

October 14 marked the opening of Denham’s new flagship store in London with 400 guests flocking at Charlotte Road which includes eminent faces and folks. Reanimating a history-drenched four story warehouse to a hub for Denham in the UK, the building houses full retail store presenting the label’s collection for men and women and also featuring on-site denim repair and alteration services.

Said to be a representation of Jason Denham’s homecoming in the UK, the opening in London, as succeeded by the established Amsterdam and Tokyo stores, is a reconnection of Denham to British tailoring heritage which exerts a steady influence on the brand’s signature approach to detail. Located at the well-known frenetic Shoreditch neighborhood, the creative community which includes design agencies, art galleries and indie shops replicates the old architectures and contemporary energy same as the ones found at the original Amsterdam address.

Introducing DRT Jeans

August 14, 2010 |

Vancouver-based denim manufacturer Dish Jeans introduces their new line of men's denim called DRT Jeans. Based on garment durability as a meaningful method of contributing to the Green Movement, Gary Lenett, founder of Dish Jeans and its brands, believes making a better jean is the best way to reduce waste rather than soly using eco-friendly fibers.

The jeans are assured with durability from five key stress areas: back pockets feature extra fabric to avoid the consumer’s wallet wearing through, belt loops are inserted into the waistband and reinforced with bar tacks to secure them, hems have extra fabric sewn on the inside to prevent the back hem from falling apart due to fraying, front pockets are riveted to keep seams intact, front pocket bags have an extra chain stitch – the strongest stitch in jeans construction - and a bartack at the bottom to ensure nothing falls through.

With his dedication for jeans, Won Hundred's Creative Director Nikolaj Nielsens have gotten himself to his career satisfaction with the help of his passion. Passing through several other brands and with nearly 20 years of involvement in denim, his great role for Won Hundred, without a doubt, is indeed expected. Now, with the approached of Urban Outfitters buying director Lee Grace in submitting a design for a collaboration, Nikolaj Nielsens have properly exemplified the Won Hundred philosophy and aesthetic at the same time blended well the U.O. whole package. "The jeans made for Urban was one model in 3 simple washes, its called 'Dean' and is the tightest of the 3 we have in our jeans range, made only for the Urban Outfitters customer".

An up and coming street wear label, Brooklyn Bandit Jeans Company weren't riding the urban fashion wave but instead started their own flow of trend. Sophistication, they believe was lacking in street wear genre and they have their unique application with it. Overall, BKB's style was really fresh. For their Fall/Winter 2009 collection, the jeans they were offering weren't the usual pairs. Seriously. Imagine your pants with snakeskin, lambskin, or just genuine leather details. BKB made it happen, and they were right about the beginning, sophistication it is. Fall/Winter 2009 collection available at Karmaloop Kazbah Store.
