Versace Spring 2011 Fashion Show

July 1, 2010 |

The gig for Versace has gone from sensual sophisticated lad to really daring true-to-itself guys in todays new air. Erupted from last season's thinner looking sci-fi guys, this season went consistent over the body type along with the proper styling of rock and roll's earliest form of fashion - the rockabilly.

Highlights: Sharp double-breasted suit jackets, two tone sleeveless shirts and vests, chain accessories, and pointed strapped leather shoes.

Versace Fall 2010 Fashion Show

January 20, 2010 |

Glossy Versace man turned into a leather obsessed guy with tight fit pants, pair of motorcycle boots and black laser shades, running late for his intergalactic future trip. Studded wool coats, geometric detailed shirts, lightweight tops - with or without sleeves -  and a bunch of leather jackets were the main agenda.

For Versace, it was soft and flowy even though it came in military inspired styling in a deserty vibe. With shades of white combined with tans, browns etc. dark toned colors also made its way for the 2010 sunny collection. For my favorite ensemble, long silky tunics paired with jackets in a contemporary approach showed another angle of Donatella's works. Seeing runway veterans including Noah Mills, Will Chalker et al. the show also had Kylie Minogue's beau Andreas Velencoso. So to sum up this one, Foreign Legion assigned in Northern Africa all with the luxurious styles and soft and comfy clothes by Versace. Get it?

For Versace and Alexander McQueen, their menswear collection for S/S 2009 were rocking on the runway with smoke! After looking for possible trends, the smokes were some of the highlights of the two brands each with similar style and concept. Both of the brands had heavy coil of smoke printed on tees, tanks and jacket positioned from the upper right chest going down to the middle but McQueen had one unique design with smokes flowing like a liquid on the cage-like ribs in one jacket.
