With minimal pieces continuing to rule the collection, Damir Doma pushes through the strong aforementioned aesthetic for his Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Watch the runway video above.

They call this Parlor shorts, but it would make sense if I call this a men’s bubble shorts. “This grey sarong style shorts with open hems feature an elastic drawstring waistband, one pocket on the left side and a patch pocket in the back. It also has a fly with a hidden zip and asymmetrical seams.” The material is 70% viscose, 30% cotton. Now available at LN-CC.

(Damir Doma 'Juvenile' Bomber Jacket & Rick Owens Woven Jacket)

Launching for pre-order, Oki-Ni will be the first ones to have the Damir Doma and Rick Owens S/S 2010 collections which will be available mostly on early February (2010). From both brands, I've come across with wonderful and wide selection of jackets and coats, along with some interesting drop crotch pants and oversize shirts. Also seen from the online store are the new offering of boots and shoes from Rick Owens.

Doma explores the delicate balance of human forms, harmonising the ongoing dialogue between body and soul within his collection. Oversized, almost floating elements are meant to provide space between skin and garment, representing a new spiritual freedom. Doma eliminates the unnecessary, concentrating on the essentials of shape and form while a lack of buttons and trim heighten the wearer's appreciation of simplicity. Our relationship with nature is seen through colour. White symbolises purity, red is blood and energy and black is thoughtfulness -the beginning, the end and what is yet to be discovered.

For SS10 Rick Owens pays tribute to the unmistakable style of the American tourist - with a gothic twist. ‘I heard myself in an interview being very critical about American tourists, so I wanted to make up for it by paying tribute to them,’ Owens said. Dark denim is layered over long line jersey t-shirts, detailed with transparent panels. Trousers are cropped to show off this season’s offering of gothy boots and oversized hi tops.

Damir Doma Black Scarf Jacket

October 26, 2009 |

I thought this jacket rocks in 2 reasons. 1 - It has a scarf attached on it; 2 - It's from Damir Doma, well just include the facts that it's black and it has contrasting silver front zip which looks great in assymetrical form. Now available at Forward.

September 8, 2009 |

Forward's new addition of Damir Doma's delectable pieces showed several basic shirts all from its Fall/Winter 2009 collection. As for this one, the knot detail behind looks interesting, a not-so-common idea of what basic wear should be. Coming in with two colors, this one's dark grey and the other is black with a lightweight approach that is obvious and surely be a comfortable innerwear for the upcoming cold months. Damir Doma Front Zipped Boots

August 13, 2009 |

Not polished but faded black leather, good thing these minimal boots are being crafted for a much more unique look. Damir Doma's boot features zip detail that could cover the ankle from toe when not worn. As for their theme of using fewer seams, these boots can be as comfortable as a sock. Now available at Oki-Ni.
