Damir Doma Autumn/Winter 2010 Grey Parlor Shorts

They call this Parlor shorts, but it would make sense if I call this a men’s bubble shorts. “This grey sarong style shorts with open hems feature an elastic drawstring waistband, one pocket on the left side and a patch pocket in the back. It also has a fly with a hidden zip and asymmetrical seams.” The material is 70% viscose, 30% cotton. Now available at LN-CC.

As I was looking for the right shorts this summer, I must conform to the unofficial standards that it must have an above-the-knee or apple exposer length. Duos Domenico and Stefano had it on their cocktail dresses before, now Alexander McQueen brings the paint splashed detail on menswear, and it's in the form of shorts. Pleated shorts. A very sartorial piece, I love the overflowing sophistication (regardless of the paint detail) and how it transformed from a predestined-to-be rugged styling to a distress-free artistic piece. Alife and Dickies collaborated for the Alife Workwear Collection. Henrik Vibskov's playful patterns seen in tanks and tee definitely showed a modern rendition of tribal prints. Also, the bomber jacket in red, purple and grey was my favorite among the other items since it has an unusual color combination reminds me of the MGMT inspired Gucci colors. ASOS has a lot of things to offer lately and it's really hooking me up. After browsing some of their shoes/accessories, the clothes section definitely has something good to offer. Items from Shipley & Halmos captured the executive lifestyle in fun and surprising manner. The raincoat looked executive in black and risky in yellow. The pleated shorts looked crisp and formal but if paired with contrasting details definitely it will have a new character.
