Here’s an interesting Japanese brand that has already land its spot at LN-CC. Lead by former Junya Watanabe design team member Noriyuki Shimizu, Name’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection took its inspiration from the theme “Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction”. Dropping few pieces that are now available to purchase, Shimizu’s interesting approach to casual outfits are appropriately building up a good trademark for the brand. Hot Stuff: Nigel Cabourn Washed Oil Edgar Bag

This bag is made of red oil cloth cotton which is coated in real refined oil, a treatment which was originally developed for the British fishermen. The bag features orange leather details such as piping and handles, is closable with a red zip and has a beige shoulder strap, which is adjustable in size through a golden clasp. The inside is fully lined with beige cotton that is neatened with piping.

Sibling London Fifth Collection at LN-CC

LN-CC recently added to their list of retailed brands this interesting London-based label named Sibling. Launched by design trio Cozette McCreery, Joe Bates and Sid Bryan on the year 2008, Sibling London have made it to the men’s knitwear market with a trademark of playful creations made for modern man with a sense of style and humor. Their designs juxtapose high quality, bright colors, and bold graphics that are always inspired by traditional knitwear concept but holds twisted ideas that revolve around youth tribes, music and art.

For the label’s fifth collection, the trios have dealt with some collaboration that includes several musicians, photographers and artists. Coming from it are the Tim and Sue sweaters that was made possible through teaming up with artists Tim Noble and Sue Webster. Also part of this collection is a non-collaborative piece that is the hand knitted biker jacket, a collared piece that is made from black woolen knit with silver zips and two side pockets, all in a biker silhouette. Hot Stuff: Christopher Raeburn Blue and Grey Triple Spot Hoodie

Incredibly lightweight hoodie with two side pockets. Garment fastens with a full-length black zipper and the cuffs are finished with a black stretchable nylon. This garment has been constructed from re-appropriated military parachute fabric and has been hand silk-screened in London with natural inks. Currently only availalble at LN-CC, this is a limited edition piece designed and made in England from 100% parachute Nylon.

Hot Stuff: Dries Van Noten Spring/Summer 2011 Brown Leather Holdall

This body of this bag from Dries Van Noten is in brown leather and the straps are an alternate shade of brown leather. The straps have nine holes meaning they can be adjusted to suit and wrap around the whole body of the bag. The four buckles are tarnished silver metal... The bag has a silver zip fastening at the top with a brown leather zip pull. It is fully lined in a camel coloured canvas and has an internal pocket with an identical zip fastening... There is top-stitching and panelling at the top, sides and base of the bag... 100% leather body.

Hot Stuff: Nonnative Worker Jeans 14oz Denim Vintage Wash

Grey denim and cotton mix worker jeans, with two front pockets and two button down front compartments. These jeans fasten with a single black button and a heavy duty black zipper. Both rear pockets fasten with black branded buttons and the right pocket has a small orange nonnative detail tab. The thick belt loops are another key detail. Now available at LN-CC.

Hobo Waterproof Suede Tote Bag

Here’s a beautiful water proof suede tote from Hobo’s Autumn/Winter 2010 collection. “This grey suede tote bag features two outside pockets in the front and the back and one on each side The bag is decorated with smooth leather piping in a lighter grey tone and silver rivets. It has two handles, is closable with a silver press button and has four silver semicircular rivets on the bottom. The bag is fully lined and has an inside pocket which is closable with a zip.” Get it here.

Damir Doma Autumn/Winter 2010 Grey Parlor Shorts

They call this Parlor shorts, but it would make sense if I call this a men’s bubble shorts. “This grey sarong style shorts with open hems feature an elastic drawstring waistband, one pocket on the left side and a patch pocket in the back. It also has a fly with a hidden zip and asymmetrical seams.” The material is 70% viscose, 30% cotton. Now available at LN-CC.
