Dries-Van-Noten-Spring-2012
Last season, DVN paraded sophisticated modern lads who were romantic in attitude but superstar in name. He channeled David Bowie through his mannequins and they were really chic lads. But just recently, Dries had his game face on with the navy blue palette. Yup, these are deep toned blues that are always mysterious but forever wearable. The main color is shocked with the ultra fascinating bolds of strong colors and thick stripe prints that have made a contemporary statement yet preserved that ideology that Dries is still on the prints.

Dries-Van-Noten-Fall-2011
Inspired so much by David Bowie and rendered a production that is and will always be theatrical, Dries Van Noten presents a Fall 2011 collection that comes with some strings attached. From it, there’s the sense of elegance, sporty, and romanticism – one side fur lapel, patterned trousers, and suits that are to-die-for. It’s said to be an appreciation of Dries to Bowie but it seems that it’s just being beautiful in so many ways.

I’m into cardigans lately. This time, Belgian designer Dries Van Noten shows his take on it with a distinct styling. Coming in short-sleeved version, the knitted cardigan is undeniably casual but the detachable leather belt fastening adds sophistication to this nearly basic garment. LN-CC has it.

This body of this bag from Dries Van Noten is in brown leather and the straps are an alternate shade of brown leather. The straps have nine holes meaning they can be adjusted to suit and wrap around the whole body of the bag. The four buckles are tarnished silver metal... The bag has a silver zip fastening at the top with a brown leather zip pull. It is fully lined in a camel coloured canvas and has an internal pocket with an identical zip fastening... There is top-stitching and panelling at the top, sides and base of the bag... 100% leather body.

Now available at LN-CC.

My favorite Belgian designer Dries Van Noten was the main man for Hint's "One Sentence or Less" interview. A direct to the point interview where there's no room for second thoughts or so, Dries Van Noten simply answered questions that are mostly not related to fashion. Check it out here.

Dries Van Noten Leather Messenger Bag

July 14, 2010 |

For that off duty look, here's a messenger bag from Dries Van Noten that looks perfect to blend with the said motif. A common take of the normal shape or silhouette, the bag goes with noticeable leather strap key holders adding a cool touch of it - more of youthful. Get it at Browns.

The lightest take of underground agenda, it was a spectacle of sophisticated collision of streetwear and tailored garments for Dries Van Noten. Intentionally-bleached denims and ink splotched cotton fabric agreeably fed the print-hungry fans a taste of satisfying substitute as the signature pieces were lightened up with faded twist.

Highlights: Bleached denim jackets and pants, ink splotched white shirts, military boots, knee-length cargo shorts, and double breasted coats and suits.

In case you were thinking of too much layered garments over the new offerings from Dries Van Noten, well you are probably wrong. The Belgian designer has just started his endeavor on mixing garments and set aside signature prints for a while, well that's just plain observation. Pulling off great outerwear pieces like quilted jackets with stripes on arm sleeves, skin toned crew neck with houndstooth sleeves paired with puffer vest looked insanely awesome. The collection still goes with favorable Dries Van Noten Khaki and Navy colors along with cropped pants and sophisticated brogues. Each model rocks a portable speaker which actually provides music on the runway. Cool eh?
