Bottega Veneta Fall 2010 Fashion Show

January 18, 2010 |

Boasting eccentric vibe with confidence in rebellious looks, Bottega Veneta shows a Johnny Bravo in boots and loose parka. Sharp suits, fold up pants and formal brogues turns a pompadour look into a casual easygoing sartorial man. Entertaining purple and red blazers pours in dynamic feeling with oozing arrogance unleashed.

After seeing tie dyed shirts, I never fail to put myself into a process of assessment and thinking whether it's going to work or not. Considering those "flashy" shirts where bohemian vibe overflows, the colorful approach really isn't appealing for me. On the case of this extremely exceptional henley shirt form Bottega Veneta, the three colourway that are delicately mixed up defines a luxurious and really manly tie dyed version. Much more with the shirt, it goes with 4 button plackets and really soft texture. Now available at Matches.

Bottega Veneta Leather Trainers

July 13, 2009 |

Creating a classic trainer, this shoe from Bottega Veneta surely focuses on details and being versatile. With a silhouette giving a modern approach, the special leather intrecciato detail shows the brand image associated with a much more sophisticated look match with sporty and edgy vibe. Looking oh-so-well in black, these trainers will surely be a whole day multipurpose item that will work daytime or rock that night away.

Available at Matches.

"I really thought Bottega Veneta was the best show in Milan. The use of color (both bold and neutral), the prints and the surface textures were superb."

Whether paired with crisp suits or trench coats, pants or trousers in different kind are seen in not-so full length. Fold-ups were a hit trend this season and it has been a street fashion even before the fashion week kicked off. If you happen to be a big fan of Scott Schuman's The Sartorialist, then you would definitely notice this fold-up trend to those modern dandies featured in the blog. We've seen fold-ups in baggy, slim fit or in any kind style. Le Hommes's ultra polished black trousers had it futuristic with its style, while Missoni's fading effect got it twisted with an appearance of shocking blue. Whatever it is, it wouldn't be surprising if Paris would do the same, folding a dapper way.

According to Tomas Maier “We wanted to offer clothes that are particularly individualistic. Changing the shape of the pants and breaking the silhouette with color add an energy, even a brashness, that feels invigorating,” and surely it has an ultra energetic mood with the use of bold colors and some edgy details. Military green looked refreshing in coats, shirts and even trousers. Strong shoulders seen in various suits dominated in cheerful red tone surely is an exciting work from Maier. Trunks seen from the Lund brothers down to Garrett Neff showed different details featuring green floral design and even simple dark toned fabric. Well, the excitement that they want to apply seemed to work for me, with the unusual twist and turns in sillhouettes and colors, this kind of collection is something that they should produce in upcoming seasons, not to mention the colors that complemented the new vibe for the luxurious brand.
