LD Tuttle Double Lace Up Sandals

July 29, 2011 |

LD-Tuttle-Double-Lace-Up-Sandals
If there could be an advancement to the classic gladiator sandals, this may be put into the middle part of it. We’ve seen Raf Simons’ collaboration for Dr. Martens before and it was undoubtedly wicked. But there’s something to this modernized primitive sandals that makes me want to wear it now and stroll around the city streets. It looks pretty much comfortable by the way. Now available at Oak with a discounted price.

Ksubi Black Hadrian Buckle Faced Boots

October 28, 2010 |

No need to worry about polished agendas when there’s grunge that’s waiting at the end of the day. Let’s face it, there’s a slight addiction of achieving ruggedness or as I call it the “indie” look. The boots here is a testament. It's a faded distressed suede lace-up with removable leather spat that snaps and buckles in. “Interior zipper for ease of entry extra long tongue. Smooth leather panels at rear. Coated laces. Leather/wooden sole with rubber. Approximate 1” heel.” I love how it looks beautiful even if the unique detail is in full pledge or not. Get it through Oak for $498.00.

Asher Levine debuts exclusively at Oak and here’s a video that showcases some of his edgy menswear pieces for Fall 2010. Filmed by Char Alfonzo with grooming done by Rusty Goff, the video has a spiky appeal, similar to what Asher Levine is all about. Watch the video after the click.

Yarnz Scarves at Oak

|

Yarnz is a New York based high end, contemporary accessories line which focuses on cashmere materials. The line has become known for large, printed scarves with various thematic prints being produced each season. With this season’s latest drops, we see the new items that are made available at Oak online store. Interesting prints such as David Bowie and leopard lace along with some tribal inspired patterns are impressively lined up to possibly entice bohemian fashion seekers. The woven scarves come with unfinished raw edges and can be purchased now at Oak.

Is Lady Gaga putting an influence over menswear? Hope not. From Asher Levine's extremely tough concept, this black and silver metallic drape jacket is for the ultimate risk takers, for men who could viably wear the Rick Owens platform wedge boots and done with them an extremely oversize sunglasses - preferably in black. What you say? Available at Oak.

H by Hudson Verso Leather Sandals

June 2, 2010 |

I love the appeal of any footwear that would show my ankles once worn. Sock-less of course. A summer must have, these sandals from H by Hudson features a washed-like leather, though not specified on details, and really effortless totality. Ensuring comfort, the back is elastic and sole is leather. Now available at Oak.

Monochrome wallets from Comme des Garcons have been dropped at Oak and I personally love these zipped wallets with embossed reptile style. Focusing on main detail, the wallets came in with a mix of reptile skin which includes a contrasting lizard-like skin detail. Finishing the whole look, each wallet has gold zipper which pops out from the overall black color.

Surface to Air's Fall/Winter 2009 collection gears up with several items accommodating your need for stylish looks. With agreeable reaction after seeing some of the items, I immediately became a fan of the "militaristic" duffel coat and the leather mid-slouch jeans. From the collection, various essentials are found including shirts, jacket, sweats, jeans along with some wallets and bags. In at Oak.

Illionaire Rocker Tee

September 22, 2009 |

Here's a cool addition to Oak's new items from a newcomer from down under, Illionaire. Don't be confused with this one, it's not tied died or something but this shirt has a face to remember. With an overall white concept, an unusual side graphics capture my attention on this shirt from the Australian label. Coming in with a few but delectable pieces, including hooded cardigan and drop crotch pants, catch them all Oak.

Here i am motivated again to put up a style inspiration that features not only stars but also looks coming in from "it" runway shows. Scanning through the archives of Fall 2009 of Men.Style (Spring 2010 rules the site today anyway), I never had this "closed-door" eye sighting for Rag & Bone, so I decided to choose one look from their modern Japanese street wear style.

Browsing for perfect counterparts, I immediately rushed in to Oak site and looked for some stocks from Harmon and was delighted to see a pair of a black fisherman pants on the site, so I thought it would be great for substitution for Rag & Bone's Ninja trousers. As seen in "New Items" selection of Oak, there goes the perfect black layered overcoat that has dual function. Just unzip to the middle and it would look like a vest paired in coat. To pair up with layered coat, I thought that a Kitsuné classic shirt found at Studiohomme would be great for the look. Lastly, boots perfectly fit in to the look since the fisherman pants weren't lengthy enough so this Red Wings black chrome leather boot found at Blackbird Ballard would be the real deal.

(Clockwise: Oak Black Layered Overcoat at Oak NYC, $422.00; Harmon Black Fisherman Pants at Oak NYC, $388.00; Red Wing Classic Moc Black Chrome Leather Boots at Blackbird Ballard, $265.00; Kitsuné White Classic Shirt at Studiohomme, €180.00)

There's an oversize sensation at Oak's cool new pieces from the brand Complex Geometries. As for their Fall/Winter 2009 collection, it is an array of what it could be one of the most daring yet edgy items I've seen so far. Though it isn't recommendable to wear the tanks alone in the coldest temperature you could ever encounter, one things for sure, they will be a statement to die for.

Oak Fall 2009

August 7, 2009 |

Here's a peek at Oak's Fall 2009 collection seeing wearable pieces suitable for the upcoming season. Oak's use of basic colors (black, grey, white) shows an emphasis to the styling and the silhouettes of every piece on the collection. Distressed pants, stretch-out tees and oversize garments were the highlights along with the inclusion of the luxurious drop crotch pants from the Black Label collection. LD Tuttle The Shifter Boots

July 25, 2009 |

The black distressed leather surely captured my attention on these boots from LD Tuttle coming in at Oak. Stylish and versatile, this knee boot can be folded for a mid-boot style that can be perfectly paired with slim-fit pants. The exposed interior zip and leather straps also complemented to the motorcycle boot design looking rough and edgy.

LD Tuttle's boots are available exclusively at Oak in limited quanities.
