Acne Spring 2012 Fashion Show

Swedish label Acne puts a statement for vintage styled clothing this season as they gear up for retro vibe and toned down palettes. Typically dressing up men for a modest but smart clothing, the trend for Acne this season has become more comfortable and practically casual. Pieces such as shawl collars, fine tailored trousers, and leather loafers are among the few that stood out from the collection.

Arriving with some ruggedness effect on this black denim jacket, Acne provides a vintage-esque piece for Autumn/Winter seasons. Named the “Jam Pile” jacket, this one’s padded denim with cotton Sherpa lining and features Acne embossed bachelor buttons. Now available at Por Vocacao.

Acne for Harrods

Distressed styling is raging up and ACNE reinterprets their classic skinny jean , the MAX, to a much more biker vibe. Designed exclusively for Harrods, ACNE's classic skinny jean with padded details has been derived from traditional biker trouser on the brand's five pocket skinny silhouette. The leather used on the jeans has been hand treated and specially washed creating an authentic vintage Biker feel.

Here are some of the new arrivals found at Acne's online shop. With various wardrobe essentials perfect for the cold months, various jackets and trousers are now available. With balloon shaped or slim silhouettes, trousers are composed of different styles and concepts. With its rough and edgier look, the biker pants in a stretchy fabric is my favorite among other items. Jackets, on the other hand, came with similar structure. Whether be classic, double layer, biker or lengthy, the minimal approach still never goes out but the versatility coming in from the patterns and shapes definitely would attract those who have simpler taste in fashion.

Acne Spring 2010 Collection

It has always been delighting to see Acne's different concept each season. For their Spring/Summer 2010 collection, it was a composition of different varieties complementing the summer vibe. There goes the humble colors paired with vibrant yellow, blue and pink. The scarves & necklaces added that tribal feel to the minimalistic designs. It was also a display of both slim & loose silhouettes on pants adding that casual feel to the whole collection. Suits & cropped jackets were impressive, trench coats looked refreshing as well as the lightweight fabrics of shirts.
