July 8, 2011 |

Dior-Homme-Fall-2011-Black-Tie-Accessory
Dior Homme offers up a new range of accessories from their Black Tie line. Accentuated by the collection’s signature pleat-embossed details, the new range are lined up with a plethora of calfskin leather goods that include tote bags, wallets, iPhone and iPad cases, and briefcase, while a few brass hardware selection in the form of cufflinks sums up the whole offerings.

Dior-Homme-Spring-2012-Collection
Kris Van Assche sees another agreeable path that is for Dior Homme’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection. His penchant for asymmetric cuts, minimalism, and black & white are felt mostly to this collection but he has added shades of beige and blue to accentuate what this season is all about – cool and comfy. Trimmed to perfection with a tweak of luxury and avant-garde notion, this collection is just another successful performance brought to us by the Belgian designer.

Dior Homme presents the “Weekend Casual” as part of its Les Essentials feature for men. This new installment of the French menswear brand highlights patch pocketed jackets in shades of gray, black or anthracite. The pairing of the jackets is seen with denim faded jeans that gives more casual approach to the whole looks.

Dior Homme Les Essentiels - #4 Trench

March 26, 2011 |

Moving on with its 4th installment of the Les Essentiels feature, Dior Homme highlights one of the most indispensable clothing for men, the trench coat. Giving justice to the elegant piece of outerwear is model Clinton Weber as shot by photographer Julia Champeau.

The setting gave a luxurious touch and gives an ice breaker to how Van Assche presented his offerings for Dior Homme from the past seasons. This one’s somehow a breather to his entire devotion for minimal and monochrome backdrop. Then the clothing came with a front line of pocketed tailored shirt that looks oriental if you see at far, followed by a supposedly sharp suit that comes with slim lapels paired with Amish inspired hat. When looked closely to the details of some shirts and suits, there goes the unbuttoned closure of which gives a distinct trademark to KVA. Just like the others, the boldness of orange suddenly pops out to this collection.

On January 17, Dior Homme will unveil a project specially conceived by Kris Van Assche for the young generations following the latest trends, navigating from the printed word to website and blogs. This project was shot by photographer Willy Vanderperre which will soon feature a video and a series of eight photos giving an unprecedented insight into the Dior Homme Spring 2011 collection. Featured in the film is model Victor Nylander who sports a number of signature Dior Homme by Kris Van Assche styles.

Dior Homme presents us the “Handkerchief Finish” as part of the brand’s feature of essential items for men. This third installment is all about the slim lapels rolled like a handkerchief seen on the suits. Featured above is a slightly loose silhouette that captures the modern Dior Homme luxury.

Dior Homme Les Essentiels - #2 Raw Edges

November 25, 2010 |

For the second Les Essentiels feature, Dior Homme presents “Raw Edges”. Seen on tailored pieces which include three-quarter-length raw-edged coat and suit jackets, the refinement of “unfinished” edges that is uplifted with couture feel and elegant vibe tops off this interesting installment of Dior Homme’s essential items for men.

Dior Homme iPad Case

November 4, 2010 |

Dior Homme features this sophisticated iPad case. Coming in black tie leather or classic coated canvas, the book formatted case features a writing pad on one side while the other is designed to hold an iPad. Expect this to arrive on Dior Homme boutiques beginning December 2010.

There’s nothing much “spark” about this sneaker from Dior Homme except the leather lace style which made the overall look worth glancing. The silhouette looked quite a bit of a running shoe and there’s a slight problem regarding the white rubber sole as it crashes the edgy feel but I love the effort of combining street aura with sophistication. Available at Colette.

Dior Homme focuses each month (for six months) starting October the essential items of the male wardrobe, suit details, and innovative finishes that are absolutely luxurious. Starting off with the Tuxedo, two variations seen above are both classic and sharp with wide and narrow lapels seen on an elongated, two-tone silhouette. Julia Champeau takes in charge for the photography.

Minimal yet futuristic, Kris Van Assche's love for black and white is obvious on this two tone high neck shirt from Dior Homme. Coming in with functional concept and interesting fold over style to accentuate the white on the underside, this one's truly versatile as it could blend in on any motif. I'm a big fan of black by the way, the dominating color will surely look good on you. Trust Kris Van Assche, it's a basic. Now available at Browns.

Kris Van Assche's "Angles" collection for Dior Homme are well featured for HUgE magazine's September issue. The Japanese fashion magazine has the proper rendition of Dior's theme complimenting the looks with a very fine and sharp hair cut all in assymetric pattern. With Robbie Wadge posing for the magazine, Japanese photographer Takeshi Hanzawa had it for the issue along with stylist Tetsuro Nagase.

That Check Collar

July 8, 2009 |

I just love the contrasting detail on this Dior Homme polo shirt. With check collar overlapping the black collar, it looks more of unusual for an item that is worn almost everyday by many people. Greatly paired with grey jeans or be edgy with royal blue and surely you're going to rock that look. This polo shirt is now available at Browns.

Dior Homme Polo With Check Collar, £215.00

Definitely you can not talk to him but wearing this would definitely show you're desire. Well, this doesn't really show the "Angles" perspective of Kris Van Assche but the black & white motif did.

Street casual, maybe. Street couture, not. I still admire Kris Van Assche though.

From the F/W 2009 menswear collection of Dior Homme, get this shirt at Colette and you will definitely address this demand to others that you would bump into.

Dior Homme DH1 Duffel Bag

May 29, 2009 |

DH1, Dior Homme's new line of leather bags, aims to capture the essence of versatility in minimal approach. Whatever it is, every Kris Van Assche story behind Dior Homme collection seems to be so interesting for me at all. This leather duffel bag has a metal zippered pockets and buckled shoulder straps showing a different look due to the flattering combination of contrasting details. With a price of $1,780, DH1 duffel bag will hit New York and L.A. stores in July.
